We view ourselves primarily as consultants to our clients. This means we work closely with them throughout the year, helping them with their businesses. We provide assurance services, but this is not our focus. We’ll make sure you get the necessary number of assurance hours to qualify as a CPA. However, if you become a CPA at CRSP, we make sure you receive a well rounded experience. You’ll be exposed to accounting system implementation, bookkeeping, compliance (GST, PST, Payroll, EHT, etc.) and tax. You’ll be exposed to clients of varying size in a wide range of industries. We provide services to individuals, corporations and trusts, but we generally limit our work on individuals to the shareholders of our corporate clients.
For experienced CPAs:
Your previous experience probably provided you with many of the skills required of a CPA. But we still think we can show you a few things with ‘our take’ on public practice. If you’re coming from a traditional CPA practice (focused on year-ends and assurance) we believe you’ll find tremendous job satisfaction in the consulting nature of our practice. What seems straight-forward to us, can seem impossible to our clients. Fix it for them, and you’ve got a fan for life. In a nutshell, this is what we do and its fun.
